If you recall, back in January, we released a piece that covered 12 ways how you can grow your subscriber count this 2023, which is something that almost anybody who’s after a YouTube career would love to know. Well, that was part 1. Recently, the mad lads (and lasses) over at Sideqik released part 2 of their overview, covering another 12 steps on how you can further nourish that oh-so-essential subscriber pool.

Much Awaited

Not much to be said, really; let’s dive straight into it, starting with #1 – Creating a channel trailer. Trailers make for very good sneak-peek promotions, which is what your channel trailer should be all about. This will be the general introduction of your channel to people.

#2 Share Videos

Make sure to share to other networks. This will help increase your visibility and further have people better acquainted with your style and content.

#3 Post Videos Regularly

Aim to breed familiarity between your videos and your target audience; posting regularly helps them form this connective and progressive relationship with your channel.

#4 Collaborate

YouTube is home to many stars, so be sure to partner up with them! Though not everyone will be up for a little collab, a cross-over often allows all creators involved to essentially tap into each other’s respective audiences, helping boost exposure for all those involved.

#5 Respond to Comments

The YouTube comment section is its own wilderness, and while you don’t need to respond to every single one, letting people see that your actively engaging with your audience helps build rapport and, more importantly, facilitates more engagement.

#6 Embed Videos

If you have a blog or a supporting website or app, consider embedding your videos there. It’s an easy, and often free, way to help build more visibility and awareness about your channel.

#7 Make a Video Playlist

Having multiple videos that talk about the same topic or topic group makes for an excellent playlist choice. Semi-curate your videos by doing this, making your channel more organized and easier to browse.

#8 Ramp Up Video Production

Once you become somewhat established, it’s simply time to pump out more videos! More content + a consistent posting schedule = more growth!

#9 Use Social Sharing Buttons

YouTube has social share buttons for a reason. Use them! This ties in well with 2 other steps here, can you guess which ones?

#10 Run Social Media Contests

There are multiple ways to create and conduct cross-platform Social Media contests. Sideqik can help you with the mechanics and technicalities, but the concept and uniqueness of the challenges will depend on you and your team. This is a good way to get new subs.

#11 Spread Your URL Everywhere

Where you can, make sure to attach your URL. This helps you gain traction and funnel extra traffic to your channel, regardless of relevance.

#12 Run YouTube Ads

Of course! Because what’s a YouTube guide without mentioning ads at least once, right? YouTube is owned by Google after all – a company that relies mainly on digital advertising.

The Wrap

There you go, that’s part two of Sideqik’s 24 Ways to Boost Your YouTube Subscriber count overview! Now, you have all 24 key steps to take to really make your subscriber count begin to rocket. Of course, realistically, don’t think that growth will come overnight. Even with this guide, it’ll still take you constant practice and fine-tuning before you can reap the rewards borne of hard work and grit.
