Snapchat’s latest addition to Snap Focus, its in-house educational platform, is a new certificate course in ad optimizations. The new course provides a new way on how business users can build their Snap ads expertise, showcasing their understanding of the platform and its key ad elements in an official, recognized capacity.

Snapchat explains:

“Snapchat Ads Manager Optimization is a five-course certification path designed to help media planners, buyers, and strategists report on and optimize for full-funnel results on Snapchat. By the end of this course, you’ll have gained a deeper understanding of the tools and resources available to report and measure campaign performance as well as how to apply those learnings to optimize and improve campaign results.”

The course adds to the platform’s gradually evolving educational offering, which also includes various courses regarding AR creation featured on its Lens Studio platform.

Certified Snap Advertiser

The first Snapchat ad certification course, ‘Ads Manager Campaign Activation’, launched back in July. The course focused on elements like split-testing, cross-channel measurement, and other key aspects associated with setting up and managing ad campaigns.

The new course is set to help you maximize your results and outlines the program with five key elements:

Visualize Campaign Data – Build custom reports to meet your needs, quickly monitor performance, and determine optimizations. 

Troubleshoot Campaign Performance – Identify and resolve non-performance across your campaigns and troubleshoot issues related to bidding, budget, and creativity.

Optimize Performance In-Flight – Adjust delivery settings to increase campaign efficiency as well as the levers that can increase engagement for your intended audience. 

Apply Learnings to Future Campaigns – Use Split Tests and Delivery Insights to inform future campaigns and grow your audience.

Get Ad Support – Discover the best way to get help from Ad Support through the Business Help Center and Live Chat.

The new course also includes an overview and discusses in-depth how Snapchat makes use of Apple’s SKAdNetwork tracking and how exactly it can affect your performance results. SKAdNetwork tracking is now Apple’s default tracking option post the iOS-14.5 update.

The Wrap 

The entire course should take the average user around 2hrs to complete, with each element being about 10 minutes long, and a final exam is allotted 60 minutes in total. While the certification provides you with added credentials, should you pass, the course itself was not designed to be a ‘breeze through experience. Takers will need due preparation. After all, you already have the convenience of getting certified online; the actual certification itself would have some rigor to it.

Manage at least an 80% final score to snag yourself a snazzy-looking digital certificate that shows off your Snap ad expertise and reinforces your credibility for future campaigns. The new course also says something about Snapchat in that it continues to invest in educational tools for the benefit of its users.
