Twitter recently updated its Professional Accounts option with a new analytics display, which provides an updated overview of your overall account performance. The new Professional Home display provides a quick overview of all your key performance stats, including total Tweets impressions, engagement rate, profile visits, and link clicks.

As Twitter explains:

“Our new dashboard gives pros around the globe the ability to track performance, discover product offerings, and tap into additional resources.”

Like A Pro

Of course, all of these stats were available before, within your Twitter Analytics tools. As such, this updated display is more of a reformat – though it could also open the door for Twitter to roll out new display improvements and data insights over time, which is always a welcomed bonus, much to the credit of redos.

The new analytics tab also makes it a bit easier to see your overall performance data on one screen, which could simplify your process. Meanwhile, there are also links to your other Professional Account options and tools direct from the insights dashboard. So, it’s not a major change, but it could be a handy one either way, especially for brands starting out in the app. Since Twitter isn’t exactly known for having the best algorithms, better analytics will at least help make up for the otherwise heavily janked linkage tools that the platform currently offers.

Twitter has been working hard to add more to its Professional tools over the past year. Again, this could pave the way for further improvements and insight tools down the line. As with everything, before you knock it, at least check it out first. We’re sure that you wouldn’t want to miss out on the convenience of seeing all key performance metrics on a single dashboard now, would you? Given how Twitter’s Professional Profiles, as their namesake, are better designed for business purposes, it’s imperative to be aware of your KPIs and where you’re strongest and weakest at. As these metrics change over time, the tools and processes you use should ideally change and evolve with them, allowing you to more accurately track data and adjust your strategies as needed.

The Wrap

It might take off, but then again, it might not, nothing is ever sure online. But one thing we can all agree on is that this new tab definitely adds a level of refinement and perhaps control over how users manage and make use of their Professional Profiles. It’s not entirely a popular option, at least not in the traditional sense, but it could one day become big thanks to small and meaningful updates such as these. If Twitter can learn the various nuances of digital social interaction, then it might yet be a true leader in the space.

You can access the updated ‘Professional Home’ by tapping on the ‘More’ button located at the bottom right-hand side menu in the app’s desktop version, then selecting ‘Professional Home’.
