Easter is just a few days away, meaning that there’s still time if you mean to tap into the season and maximize your marketing opportunities. Twitter just shared a couple of tips and usage insights to help guide the approach of those looking to get the most from their quick, seasonal initiatives. Here’s something useful, Twitter also shared the most useful Hashtags to include for the event!

Twitter on Easter

Last year, the most used Hashtags were:

#Easter

#HappyEaster

#Easter2021

#EasterSunday

#Giveaway

#EasterBunny

#Win

It’s hard to gauge effectiveness based on Hashtags alone, as it’s all but easy to determine whether or not Hashtags are beneficial on Twitter nowadays. Twitter itself advises brands to avoid including Hashtags altogether, at least in certain instances. The basic rule of thumb is that if you’re including a link, you want to guide users to click on it. Adding Hashtags would seem counter-intuitive to that. If you’re looking to, say, amplify your messaging and increase brand awareness through your Tweets, then Hashtags might better work in your favor.

Funny enough, Twitter suggests that brands actually ‘embrace emojis for an extra dash of Easter fun’. Twitter also included a collection of Easter keywords, which could further highlight the key topics of interest for the season. They include:

Easter eggs, Easter egg hunts, candy and chocolate, family time, making Easter dinner, brunch, egg decorating, hosting family

On top of this, Twitter also suggests that brands consider four Types of Tweets to link:

Video Tweets

Videos are great at showcasing seasonal products, while including behind-the-scenes clips adds a sense of authenticity, making your videos more relatable and generally more enjoyable.

Humorous Tweets

Easter is a time of celebration and cheer, as such, it makes sense to keep the mood as it is, which is more easily achieved through the use of jokes and comedy.

Giveaways

Giveaways or Freebies always do well, but if you’re looking to drive attention, then themed giveaways might do even better as they are more likely to amplify your messaging.

Parenting Tweets

Twitter also suggests that brands ‘tweet useful resources, like recipes, Easter egg hunt tips and games’. Twitter finds that sharing personal tips in the comments can drive more engagement.

The Wrap

Again, with Easter just a couple of days out, these tips come in just a tad bit late but can make a difference for those looking to make last-minute adjustments to their seasonal Tweet campaigns. Despite the slight ‘tardiness’, these notes still hold a certain value to them, providing a decent level of guidance and insight that’s still worth considering.
