Twitter’s looking to contribute to global health efforts by increasing its app-use for connecting health professionals with relevant industry insights through a new partnership with Publicis Health Media (PHM), which aims to integrate Twitter into key healthcare conferences throughout the year. Twitter views such as ensuring people that more people are kept in the know about relevant health announcements, regardless of physical attendance.

As per Twitter:

“As conferences continue to leverage digital platforms to bring attendees together virtually, Publicis Health Media (PHM) and Twitter saw an opportunity to bring contextually relevant video content from healthcare conferences to the Twitter feed and offer a new way for healthcare advertisers to align with this content. To bring this to life, Twitter, PHM and Medscape are introducing “Conference Conversations”, an #OnlyOnTwitter offering that is now available exclusively to PHM’s roster of clients.”

#Health

The partnership will see to it that all major U.S. health conferences publish pre-conference insights, updates pre, and post-event, and real-time event Tweeting, providing health professionals with another, slightly more convenient way to stay updated with the latest health-related news and affairs.

With the Omicron variant threatening to once again cause major and widespread disruption, this timely collaboration acts as a key connector for many and ensures that healthcare providers and industry experts have optimal coverage and reach.

To add, PHM clients will be able to run video ads against the ‘Conference Conversations’ series, expanding the reach of businesses to also tap into an audience of healthcare providers who actively seek out healthcare discussions within the platform.

While it may sound relatively simple to us – and to those outside of the health field – it’s a particularly significant development for those who are in it. In 2021, Twitter reports that over 155 million Tweets were about and shared by healthcare professionals, which does present a significant opportunity not only for PHM clients but also for businesses who are looking to reach these audiences. By granting businesses access to peripheral health conversations, brands looking to connect with healthcare professionals could glean a significant amount of benefit. This new partnership is seen to only further increase healthcare engagement within the app, which right now could prove pivotal, especially with regards to the continued fight against the virus.

The Wrap

The healthcare industry has always been a major market, though it may not appear as such on the surface. Compared to other fields, while it may not be as lucrative, there is still a great opportunity to be had both empirically and business-wise, provided that brands and businesses have access to the necessary insights and information that would help them better align their efforts.

That being said, this is worth looking into and considering as part of your approach, providing you with another perspective or element on how you can make use of Twitter to connect with relevant leaders and decision-makers.
