Twitter just launched a man into space- oh wait, wrong news. What we meant to say was that Twitter had recently launched a new, eight-part educational series on video marketing that teaches you how to create promos that stand out in the Twitter Feed. The new series is aptly named ‘Unskippable’ and aims to provide a practical overview of all the key elements of thumb-stopping video clips.

As per Twitter:

“Receiving a list of best practices is always helpful, but it can be tough to translate a list of do’s and don’ts into a high-performing video. Content can become watered down when every tip on the list is implemented in a single advertisement without proper care – losing its entertainment value and creative spark. That’s why this course was created for creatives, by creatives, and doesn’t just teach you what the best practices are, but how to use them to think about and approach your next piece of content.”

Cannot Be Skipped

Each video in the series is relatively short, which is a good thing since most people can no longer bother watching videos longer than 5 minutes unless it’s a video on pure, mindless entertainment. An Easy to watch, bingable Twitter video series? Now doesn’t that sound intriguing?

The featured advice and tips in the series come from Twitter’s own creative team, which ‘helps advertisers produce thousands of top-performing ads on the platform every year.’ We’re not sure how factual this statement is, but if it came from Twitter’s creative team, then surely there must be some truth to it, right?

Either way, there are some rather interesting and good notes here, especially if you’re looking to boost your Twitter video gaming rep. If you mean to unleash your inner gamer, then it’s worth taking time to go through each element, and glean some key tips on what’s working on Twitter right now. The new series is part of Twitter’s ‘Flight School’ education platform, which is available for free and provides insights into key Twitter advertising best practices.

The Wrap

Now might be a good time to check out Twitter ads, provided you’re cool with the latest changes in the app around digital ads. Apparently, around 70% of Twitter’s top advertisers have stopped or massively reduced their Twitter ad spend, as a result of the changes made by Elon Musk. With significantly reduced major competition, that could present you with new opportunities to get your promotions seen and increase your overall brand visibility.
