Facebook’s adding a new element to its Creator Studio with rollout of what it calls the ‘Inspiration Hub’. The Hub aims to help provide more content insight by essentially highlighting trending content and Hashtags in categories that are, in some form or way, related to your Business Page.

Matt Navarra (really, someone should nominate this guy for an Oscar in social media research) again shares a couple of screenshots showing what the new ‘Inspiration Hub’ looks like. Once it becomes available, you’ll be able to access it through the ‘Home’ tab in Creator Studio.

Navigation

Going into the layout, on the right side of the screen, you’ll see the first of the new insights. These ‘recent’ insights will include the top-trending videos and Hashtags from the last 24 hours and will be posted by Pages similar to yours, displayed above a ‘See More’ prompt. From the get go, the ‘Inspiration Hub’ provides you with a quick and efficient display about the latest trends on a daily basis, allowing you to effectively plan and coordinate your next steps, as well as existing and future marketing strategies.

Tapping through to the new Hub gives you access to a range of additional filters to sort trending content from across Facebook. These can include Page category, content type, region, and many more. These could be hugely valuable in learning what Facebook users better respond to, as well as what people within your niche are more engaging with.

Did we mention that the Hub also includes insights into trending Hashtags? That’s right, you can also sift through results involving some of the most used Hashtags and filter them out to match a chosen time frame. Gleaning insight from Hashtags may assist you in tapping into trending discussions, potentially offering and/or uncovering more engagement opportunities. Though the true value of Hashtags on Facebook is yet to be fully determined, the Hub does provide you with the option to filter result by platform, thus allowing you to bring up Hashtag use on other platforms such as Instagram, which can come in very handy in maximizing reach.

The Wrap

Many of these kinds of information have been available within CrowdTangle, Facebook’s analytics platform specifically for journalists, for some time. The thing is, not everyone can access CrowdTangle data. Which is exactly the reason why Facebook decided to add the ‘Inspiration Hub’ , to provide hopeful Facebook marketers with a better, more appealing proposition.

Of course analytics, no matter how comprehensive, only give you measures; indicators at best, but the actual performance of your business lies in your personal approach. If it’s the approach you’re actually having trouble with, then these insight tools can help indicate the ‘where’ and ‘what’ your efforts should be focusing on.
