LinkedIn has just launched a new promotional campaign that focuses on changing the work environment, specifically with how people are looking to adjust to the ‘New Normal’ in their respective careers. You can check out the official campaign video here.

Based on what we can see in the video, the new campaign examines the evolving shifts with regards to hybrid work models, primarily with ‘Work From Home’ (WFH) and remote-office setups. The campaign lightly illustrates how these new approaches can potentially impact career development, facilitating new opportunities for those willing to seek them out.

LinkedIn explains:

“For the past few years, we’ve seen a change – perhaps you’re seeing it too. It’s a change in not just how we work, but why we work and a shift in how people are making work, work for them. With this comes a change in how the world is defining what being “professional” really means – and we want to hear what it means to you.”

Feeling At-Home

The ad originally debuted on TV last Sunday during the NFL AFC Division Playoffs on CBS. Since then, the new campaign is now set to be featured across various other media channels, including streaming video and audio platforms, which stands to greatly increase the campaign’s coverage and reach. On top of this, LinkedIn also plans to include additional promotional elements that will further highlight the voices and stories of campaign members, effectively adding to the campaign’s overall emotional appeal and resonance.

The new promotion builds on LinkedIn’s ‘Professionals’ and ‘Priorities’ TVCs, both of which have seen solid results thus far. According to LinkedIn:

“Over the past 2 months, we’ve seen increased engagement from our members on the platform. More importantly, we’ve seen members express more of their authentic selves on the platform, encouraging a community where everyone can belong and engage in conversations that can help make work, work for them.”

With almost 800 million members and counting, along with an ever-growing and acclaimed name in recruiting and professional development, LinkedIn is well-positioned to generate significant interest and engagement during this post-pandemic shift.

The Wrap

Once we all manage to fully break off from the clutches of this virus, the move back towards the life we knew before continuous and repetitive lockdowns and quarantines will bring about new opportunities. For LinkedIn, that’ll provide the perfect opportunity to lead the space and become a key facilitator of the training, professional connection, and career development. This new campaign looks to further that push, acting as the next major element that would help propel LinkedIn’s broader presence.
