There’s good news for those who are looking to maximize their marketing on LinkedIn this 2022. Today, the world’s largest professional network just added three new courses to its LinkedIn Marketing Labs education hub, covering key elements of building an optimal LinkedIn presence, while also teaching how one can fully utilize its various ad and promotion tools.

Q1 Course Bundle

LinkedIn initially launched its Marketing Labs in January of 2021, which featured five dedicated courses to help marketers better understand its various on-offer tools and options for LinkedIn marketing. On top of the original five, LinkedIn is introducing three new courses as part of its ‘broader’ Marketing Labs offer. The three are:

  1. Building an Organic Presence with LinkedIn Pages (20 min): Create and maintain an active LinkedIn Page to develop your brand’s unique voice.

  2. Building a Full-Funnel Content Marketing Strategy (30 min): Strike a balance of organic and paid content to guide your audience through the customer journey.

  3. Creative Design for LinkedIn (10 min): Design visually compelling creative that attracts LinkedIn members to engage with your content.

Provided is a thorough overview for each element, providing additional context with regards to the various ways in which you can use LinkedIn’s set of tools.

The overviews and insights also include ‘Knowledge Check-Up’ tests, which is customary for most courses as a way of evaluating if course-takers were able to absorb information. The tests consist of a series of multiple-choice answers that are based on the previous section. So while you can opt to breeze through the course, the results come test time might be less than satisfactory.

Upon reaching the end of each section, you are rewarded with a notification of your progress, along with a couple of pointers for the next course. Successfully completing all elements of each pathway awards you with a digital certificate that you can display on your profile or download as a PDF. Either way, it’s a good reference that’ll bolster your resume even outside of LinkedIn.

These courses are run by customer education platform Skilljar, but you can sign in with your LinkedIn credentials. Besides, the courses are free, so going through them should be relatively quick and easy. At the same time, you also get to improve your knowledge of the platform, accessing a means to showcase your expanded LinkedIn expertise.

To add, on top of these new courses, LinkedIn is also introducing the coming of some new updates for its audio rooms and job postings, including a new Audio Event test, new update share prompts, and new job postings alerts from your connections.

The Wrap

Running through the new courses will be well worth the effort, especially if you’re looking to stay on top of your LinkedIn game. Even if you already know a lot of the information presented, there might be a few pointers and notes that you accidentally overlooked. After all, nothing that’s knowledge-based ever stays exactly the same over time; people change, and so does knowledge.

Ending on a plus note, LinkedIn mentions that company Pages with over 500 followers will soon be able to create newsletters, in order to keep their Page followers duly updated within the app. These may be relatively small additions, but they’ll no doubt help improve your overall platform presence and brand impact this 2022.
