LinkedIn continues to lean into AI, which it is now integrating with its suite of ad tools. LinkedIn has a new element called “Accelerate,” which basically allows users to automate their entire campaign process. The full name of the latest ad types on the platform is LinkedIn Automated Accelerate Ad Campaigns.

As per LinkedIn:

“In as little as five minutes, Accelerate will recommend an end-to-end campaign and automatic optimizations to reach the right B2B audience with engaging creatives, which you can adjust and fine-tune before you launch your campaign.”

Speedometer Ads

LinkedIn Automated Accelerate Ad Campaigns empower its AI systems to construct your entire campaign. Users only need to supply a URL for whatever they wish to promote, and the system handles the rest.

“We’ll use AI to analyze the website you shared, your company’s LinkedIn Page, and your account’s prior LinkedIn ads to recommend a campaign. Using this customer data, we’ll build creatives and an audience, allowing you to adjust copy, images and refine targeting parameters by adding inclusion and exclusions, like geography.”

The entire system is made by an AI, which feels like you are leaving a lot of control to bots. LinkedIn’s AI models will use user-provided information to automatically adjust campaign bids and shift budgets accordingly. All-in-all, LinkedIn’s new tool helps ensure that you maximize your ad placements and creatives.

At the end of your campaign, you will receive a report telling you how it went. In summary, it is essentially a hands-off approach to LinkedIn ads. That could make Social Media marketing advice and news obsolete.

“With Accelerate, we’re bringing together several of our current automation features, including Predictive Audiences, to dynamically adjust campaign targeting so you can easily and confidently reach buyers who are most likely to take action from our community of more than 950 million members.”

Running an Accelerate campaign allows LinkedIn’s ad system to use your ad budget as best it sees fit. That could lead to better results, which, true enough, LinkedIn claims that its AI tools do for many brands. Similarly, LinkedIn’s Automated Placement has led to a 47% improvement in cost-per-conversion for brands. Lastly, its Predictive Audiences (AI lookalikes) have improved average cost-per-lead by 21%.

The Wrap

In some respects, it feels like a step too far, as if LinkedIn is putting too much trust in automation. However, if it works, LinkedIn Automated Accelerated Ad Campaigns could save you a ton of money and time in setting up. It is equally worth experimenting with. Who knows, your fluke might end up as an effective strategy.
