After being forced to go on a two-year hiatus, LinkedIn is finally able to once again hold its Talent Connect event this October. LinkedIn’s Talent Connect will showcase a range of expert insights on the state of recruitment, along with certain LinkedIn-specific trends, updates, and more.

As LinkedIn explains:

“For the first time since 2019, LinkedIn’s premier event for global leaders and practitioners across the talent lifecycle will be bringing our community together and shaping what the future of work will look like. This year’s reimagined event will feature both a virtual broadcast that’s open to all (watch from home or office or while you’re on the go) and an exclusive in-person summit for senior industry leaders. Both audiences will be able to watch keynote addresses from an inspiring cast of speakers, including LinkedIn’s CEO Ryan Roslansky and chief economist Karin Kimbrough.”

It’s Good To Be Back!

For their comeback conference, LinkedIn has prepared a roster of 50 speakers to present over the two-day event. Given the potential range of the topics to be discussed, Talent Connect will be a must-attend for those in the HR sector, while those not directly working in HR might also benefit from the substantial insights from LinkedIn’s team, which will include updates to its job listing and search tools, as well as other elements.

The main schedule is said to focus on six key areas:

  • Leading with Skills First

  • Connecting people to opportunity

  • Empowering people’s career growth

  • Embracing diversity, equity, & inclusion

  • Cultivating people-centric cultures

  • Exploring what’s possible with emerging tech

The good news is that virtual attendees should be able to get a sense of the full experience, given that much of the content will be broadcasted online anyway, although there will be certain in-person exclusives too, so you won’t be able to experience everything from your home PC.

The Wrap

Still, it’s very much worth checking out. Again, if you’re in the HR industry, the insights and notes here are likely to be hugely valuable in mapping out your approach to future recruitment strategies. Furthermore, the two-year pushback likely also has eager attendees very excited and anxious about what LinkedIn now has in store for them since it technically underwent ‘quiet’ developments during the Pandemic season.
