LinkedIn has announced that its ‘Forward’ conference for HR leaders will again be held on March 29, providing an opportunity to hear from some of the top minds within the talent recruitment space. The event also serves as a good hub to learn about some of the latest trends.

‘Forward’ 2022

For those wondering whether or not the conference will be held live, it’s unfortunately still virtual. On the plus side at least, the event will feature guest speakers who’ll address these two core themes:

  • Strengthening culture amidst the Great Reshuffle  – Understand how talent leaders are rethinking company culture and values to create a more cohesive and equitable workplace. Hear from talent leaders who are changing how they approach recruitment, employee engagement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to meet the changing demands of their workforce.

  • Cultivating internal mobility with skill-building – Building a talent strategy around skills development doesn’t just help with retention, it also drives more equitable outcomes. This deep dive into the opportunities and challenges of a skills-first talent strategy includes fostering employee growth and strengthening internal mobility across the workplace.

Those in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America can tune in live via the event page, while LinkedIn will also publish highlights from the event so that others may also be able to take it in.

It could be a valuable event and one that might be worth attending, especially if you consider how much relevance LinkedIn has built up in terms of hosting virtual events over the last couple of months. In fact, LinkedIn continues to report hitting ‘record-breaking’ engagement numbers, which also makes this event a potential showcase opportunity for the platform’s evolving tools.

The Wrap

True enough, LinkedIn now caters to more than 24,000 events created every month, with around 1.5 million RSVPs weekly. That’s a significant amount of engagement and participation, with attendance seemingly undaunted despite physical restrictions still imposed by the pandemic. This highlights the engagement opportunity for the app, and as such, you can expect to see more industry events like Forward as LinkedIn continues to tap into rising interests.

The apparent ‘return’ to LinkedIn is marked by the gradual rollback to ‘The Old Normal’ as many regions slowly ease up on restrictions and begin reintroducing people to their lives before the pandemic. This marks another significant opportunity for the platform as more people would slowly start looking again for jobs and careers, further emphasizing the importance of LinkedIn’s networks in connecting various professionals and industry channels.
