Twitter is adding to its Professional Profiles business display options by making its ‘Location Spotlight’ module available to all brands that have converted to a pro account in-app. Meanwhile, Twitter has also announced some new education programs to help marketers prepare for the coming holiday push.

All Light On You

To start, on Location Spotlight – initially launched to selected businesses earlier this year, businesses that have switched to a Professional profile can now add the module, which displays your physical business location on a map in your Twitter profile. As seen in this example, eligible users can now add the Location module to your ‘Profile Spotlight’ options, which is also where you can add ‘Shop’ and ‘Newsletter’ promotion elements, helping to provide more connection to in-app opportunities.

The updated map display now also allows you to showcase more information about your physical business location, along with your contact info and other options, helping to maximize your lead generation opportunities.

Twitter’s been hard at work adding more business tools over the past year in hopes of enticing more brands to spend more time – and ideally more money – on the app. Like all social platforms, Twitter has also been focusing on live shopping, via its dedicated ‘Shop’ tab. However, these expanded connection and promotion tools also provide more ways for brands to get more from their Tweet efforts. To add, Twitter’s also launching a new ‘Taking Care of Business’ workshop series, which was designed to help professionals who are just starting on Twitter gain a better understanding of its latest offers.

“The workshops will cover how to set up your Professional Account, how to activate an appropriate spotlight for your business, and how to tweet confidently and engage with your audience.”

It could serve as a good lead-in to the holiday push – you can register for the workshops here.

Lastly, Twitter’s also launching some additional business elements for its Flight School education platform, which is a free education element that provides you with a Twitter accreditation, covering all the basics of Tweeting and Tweet strategy. It’s worth taking time to ensure that you cover all the various opportunities of the app

The Wrap

All these new courses add to this. Even if you feel confident that you know the ins and outs of the app, it’s still worth taking these types of courses as a refresher, or at least that you know all the latest tools and updates. As we all approach the end-of-year push, it’s worth ensuring that you’re on top of the latest trends, changes, and updates to get the most out of your efforts.
