What’s one way to improve your Social Media marketing? Well, we wish there was only one way, but with anything related to Social Media, ‘more than one’ is the standard. On that note, one question always remains somewhere at the top of the query ladder: “What are the best times to post to generate the most traffic and engagement?” With that, let’s take a look at the 2022 year-end report about the top upload times.

Simply The Best

To help answer the question, a team from Giraffe Social Media shared their tips in an infographic. Here are some of the networks covered:

  • Instagram

  • Facebook

  • LinkedIn

  • Twitter

  • Pinterest

  • TikTok

Depending on your chosen platform/s, the earliest time you can post anywhere between Monday to Friday is 7:00 AM, and that’s mainly for Facebook, which does make sense since it’s a rather large platform and people tend to go browsing there on their way to school or the office. The only platform that encourages you to start uploading at noon is Pinterest. On the other end of the spectrum is TikTok, allowing users to still gain a fair bit of engagement even if they upload at 11 in the evening, a bedtime TikTok if you would.

Likewise, only Facebook and TikTok were observed to have found effectiveness in posting on Mondays, the rest of the platforms would gain more activity starting either on Tuesday or Wednesday, but that’s in line with their core offers and the behavior of their intended audiences; every platform is truly different. LinkedIn is a good example, opting to leave your Mondays and Fridays vacant, focusing on Tuesdays to Thursdays to maximize the potential in-week growth. In a way, at least you’re not forced to start and end a busy week’s schedule by having to think about Social Media, which might help keep your mind fresh in the long run.

The Wrap

In the end, what Giraffe’s infographic highlights is that there are plenty of opportunities to grow your brand and improve its awareness so long as you decide to focus on a platform or two. Social Media is already a diverse space, so deciding to pick a cornerstone platform and double-down your efforts there would greatly improve the quality of your content and offers. Meanwhile, handling at least 2 platforms allows you to diversify your offerings and increase your audience reach – this second part is better if you mean to scale up, allowing you to interact and tap into a larger pool of insights to better guide your strategic decisions. If you can plan out your entire year’s worth of posts, you’ll be surprised by just how much extra time you’ll have.
