LinkedIn has just released a new guide on how to best make use of its Lead Gen Forms Ad option, which you can use to gather LinkedIn users’ contact info and insight via simple, auto-populated form pop-ups within your promotions.

LinkedIn’s new 17-page guide covers the hows and whys of Lead Gen Ads and includes tips on how to make the most out of your campaigns, as well as real-world examples from brands who have used the option and have found relative success with it.

The Lead

The guide starts off with a general rundown of LinkedIn usage stats and insights into Lead Gen form usage. Here, LinkedIn specifically notes that B2B marketers are more likely to invest in LinkedIn to better acquire and formulate strong lead generation strategies.

Some key notes include:

  • Network consists of about 57 million companies and 800 million individuals across 200 countries.

  • Lead Gen forms on LinkedIn can achieve 5x the conversion rate.

  • LinkedIn’s Lead conversion rates are 3x higher than other major ad platforms.

LinkedIn then goes on to cover the fundamentals of its Lead Gen forms options, including the various ways that it can be used within your promotions.

  • ‘Sponsored Content’ and ‘Message Ads’ are two of LinkedIn’s most popular lead generation campaign products.

  • Lead Gen forms can be used with both of the above-mentioned campaign products and can reduce the cost per lead by as much as 40%.

There are other tidbits of information, but these two are the most standout, in our opinion, since this particular section does only go over fundamentals. The guide also provides tips on how you can work with third-party platforms to maximize your Lead Gen campaigns, with LinkedIn partnering with a range of providers to facilitate broader use of the option. LinkedIn launched an updated Lead Gen forms integration with Zapier last year, which is also mentioned in the guide.

Lastly, LinkedIn provided a range of case studies that outline how brands have made the best use of its Lead Gen Ads option, leading to a strong result for attributions.

The Wrap

Thus far, we’ve failed to encounter guides by LinkedIn that didn’t include useful notes or insights. This is totally worth checking out, especially if you mean to bolster your LinkedIn approach. This is literally a must-get guide for improving and refining lead generation – a crucial element for any business person.
