You’re a Google enthusiast, right? A lot of marketers and advertisers are. If you’re just getting started with a Google Ads campaign, then there are different ad extensions that you have to understand to improve your results, right off the bat. On that note, a team from Omnitail shares their Google Ads tips through an infographic.

Extended Goggles

Google covers 8 key points on how you can maximize ad extensions for Google Ads. It’s actually surprising that there are only 8, especially when you consider that this is Google we’re talking about. Without too much extra, let’s get straight into it.

Seller Rating

This extension includes a rating out of 5 stars, a ratings counter, and a qualifier (i.e. customer service) that highlights what a rating is for. Reviews come from either from Google Customer Reviews or from third-party review sites.

Call

Using this extension, you can add either a phone number or call button to your ads. You can also show your business hours to let people know when they can make calls. On mobile, shoppers can make calls directly from the text ad. Google can automatically set this up if you have a phone number on your site, and if one of your business goals includes calls.

Site Link

Link shoppers directly to certain pages on your website with a description using this extension. You can show up to 6 site links on desktop. For mobile, that number oddly jumps to 8.

Location

This extension displays your store location, a map of the location, or the distance to the location. With this extension, viewers can click the link to go to a details page with more information about your business.

Structured Snippet

This extension allows you to highlight products and services. These extensions appear as a title and then a list (i.e. Services: Oil Change, etc.).

App

This extension links to a mobile or tablet app from your text ad. Clicking on the headline will take the shopper to your website while clicking on the link takes them to your app.

Limited to one (1) per text ad.

Call Out

This allows you to showcase additional business offers like ‘Free Shipping’ or ‘Free Returns’. This extension displays 2-6 callouts below your text ad, appearing on either the top or bottom of Google Search.

Price

This extension displays your business offerings. With this, you can showcase up to 8 different offerings and their prices. From the extension, shoppers can instantly go to web pages that interest them, straight from your website.

The Wrap

Coming straight from Google, these are definitely some useful and highly applicative notes. If you already have Google ad campaigns set up, then a few tweaks incorporating these extensions could see that you get better results soon. Otherwise, learning about these extensions as you start will make sure that you have way better stats right off the bat as opposed to having to learn things from scratch.
